I have stretched my ears for more that six years now, so you could say it has been done pretty slowly. But I have not followed any guidelines other than my piercing knowledge. Stretching is as I have strated to learn now a completly different subject, so I am pretty happy that I haven`t fucked up my earlobes unthil now.
I have kept my lobes as 20mm for about a year, ant though time had come to go up a size. My tunnels had started to get loose, and fell out all the time. But when you go online to buy jewlery in bigger sizes you could see that they tend to skip every other size, so I could only find 20mm or 22mm. I asked a frind of mine what I should do, and he reccomended me to buy a 22mm silicone tunnel because I could fit it in, and it would stretch the hole slowly. Biggest mistake ever. I put the silicone tunnel in in the evening, and could notice that it was stinging and pushing a lot more than the other times I have changed jewlery. I thought it would just wear off, and kept the tunnels in for a whole night and a day. The next evening i noticed that the pain was not really wearing off, but rather get worse, so I decided to remove the tunnels. Oh well what a horrible sight! It was a lot of open sores or tears in the skin all around the hole, and my ears were really bleeding. I have never, ever experienced anything like it.
And then I started to google "ear stretching", and found this site, about six years too late. Oh well, I really messed up, but I hope I could get some advice on what to do now. My ears looks horrible, but I have been doing SSS on them three times a day, and it doesn`t look like there is any infection. And they only hurt when handled. It seems like the sores are slowly healing up, but my problem is really that I haven`t been able to wear ANY jewlery in them after I took out the 22mm. It has now been about five days. It looks like the sores are making the holes closing up and start growing together. Is this really possible? Is it adviceable to put in some very small jewlery to keep the holes open? And to be able to show myself in public? Or should I just learn from my mistake and leave it alone unthil it is all healed up? And then maybe have to start all over (or never beeing able to wear anything in my ears again...it depends on how bad this really is)
