time frame for eyelets

I am currently at 4G just stretched it on 1/2/2011, and I have some skin eyelets coming in the mail. I was wondering how long would you recommend I leave the half horse shoe stretcher in before putting in these eyelets. 
I am exited to put in skin eyelets this is goal I been trying to achieve 
but do not want to put them in too soon and interfere with healing process.
I knew you would have some good advice.
