New lobe piercings... and some kind of worrying bruising.

Hi guys.
I got my lobes pierced the other day beside my existing piercings, and they seemed to be doing alright. I've been using sea salt soaks on them, but tonight I've noticed some fairly intense bruising around the back of the new piercings that I'm kind of worried about. The skin around the back of the piercing is slightly raised, too, and at the moment they have a small amount of dried blood around them.
Is this at all normal, or is there something potentially wrong with the piercings? They're spaced a fair distance from my existing piercings. I don't want to have to take them out because I like them a lot, but the bruising concerns me. I can't take a picture because I haven't got a camera handy.
I got them done two days ago, there's been no bruising 'til tonight, so not sure if they're just surfacing now. They were done at 16g with a needle.
I'm just being paranoid aren't I.

I just don't think they should still have blood on them at this stage? And they're very tender. Ugh, please put my noob mind at rest.

Lots of piercings bruise. And they'll might bleed if you sleep on them. They're still super new.
Its been a long time since I've had lobe piercings, but I really wouldn't worry about it

Thank you. I've had other piercings bruise before (my nipples bruised like hell... they looked like they'd been involved in gang-related violence), but I'm super paranoid about my ears, for whatever reason... I just wanted some peace of mind, I think. The stem of the jewelry I've got in them is kind of long and they do get bumped a little... they're labret bars, with flat backs. Might have to just stick it out for a couple of weeks 'til I can change the jewelry... sigh. I just wish it would go smoothly.

I recently had my lobes repierced (4th and 5th holes) and they were tenderish for about 2 weeks and had dried blood appear for a couple of days (usually on the side that I slept on or if it got knocked)...I wouldn't get worried unless you have the typical indications of infection...but it sounds like what you've got going on is totally normal.

Ah, I ended up taking them out last night.

I was out with my friends and one of them was like "...uh hey your ear is bleeding." And lo' and behold... there was blood literally dripping from the left one, so I had to skitter off to the bathroom and try to subdue it with paper towel and take it out without blood going everywhere. I know a little bit of dried blood is normal, but I don't think bleeding like that is really normal, so they're unfortunately gone. I really liked them, too. Ah, well. I'll just have to settle for having one set of stretches.

Did your piercer even check if there were are veins or capillaries in the way first? Cause it sounds like he's pierced right through one :/

Apparently not. It's a shame, because the place I went to has a good reputation, and I've had all of my piercings done there with no complications. All I asked was that she pierce them a bit of a distance from my primary lobe piercings. One of them was alright, but I didn't want to just keep one in. It felt uneven.
