I am having a problem with one of my ears.I had my ears pierced long time ago and I just decided to stretch.I got them done at a 14g about 3 months ago and I have stretched once and that one ear is still kinda crusty...It doesn't hurt but when I wash it with salt water it still burns a little.I was wondering if this is normal and should I wait to stretch?

What are you trying to stretch to? I've never heard of someone having crusty stuff on their plugs after being pierced for 3 months.

I am going to a10g and want to be a 6g at the end.It is not always like that but it is not healing the way the other side did!It feels like there is something hard in the hole. Not a knot but maybe a scab?I have no idea what the heck is taking it so long to heal properly.I am doing everything right...I guess it is just being stubborn!

So your trying to stretch to a 10g? What happened to the 12g?
Maybe they are getting irritated while your sleeping, causing the crust to form. Usually 3 months would be enough time. Give it some more time, in the mean time put some stainless steel plugs in if you already don't.

When I had them punched to a 14g in the beginning the left one took forever to heel.I stretched to a 12g and it was fine. For several days the left one was a little sore but it just feels like it has a scab or something that runs through the hole.It is weird....I have not had one problem with the right ear.

You started stretching too early. Well, too early for that ear anyway... you should wait AT LEAST four months after being pierced to start stretching; six months or more is better. And if they're still crusty, they're definitely not ready to be stretched.

Anyway, I'd downsize to 14G again, give your ears a break for a couple of months, and try again one size at a time. I know waiting sucks but your ears will thank you!

I read that everywhere on the internet, you should wait for about 6-12 months to start stretching your ears C:
I had mine being pierced for 6 years. Never had any problems with my ear.

I've had mine pierced for about 7 and a half months and still haven't started stretching. I have all the stuff to get from 8 to 0, but each time I try, there is more pain than I am comfortable with. I was pierced at 8g, though, so that may have something to do with it. So, yes, most likely, you started stretching too soon.

I waited 3 months to stretch for the first time and both ears were healed.I had my ears pierced for 15 years before I had them punched out at a 14g.I will wait for a while until it is totally healed..Thanks guys!!!
