so i got these ears right? and i pierced them myself with one a them walmart piercer gun things. i left them like that for about 5 and a half weeks. i believe they were peirced at 18g. so i bought 14g tapers and put those in for about one week. then i bought some 10g tapers and left those in for about a week. and i just upgraded to 8g. my ears don't seem to be healing right. there's still some blood when i take them out. and the occasional puss pockets. which are gross. was it a bad idea to skip sizes? is there any way to make them heal faster? what in the hang am i doing?

Okay, I'm not trying to lecture you, but you did a LOT of things wrong so I'm going to give you some advice.
1. Piercing guns are AWFUL. That was your first BIG mistake. They can't be completely sterilized (I guess that wasn't really an issue for you since you bought a new one and only used it on yourself but still), they cause way more force/trauma than necessary (which can create scar tissue and make stretching difficult), the aftercare instrutions that go along with them are horrible, and the jewelry is really low-quality. But I guess the damage is already done so the best thing to do is to try and get those piercings to heal. Get some labret studs or straight barbells made out of surgical steel or titanium and care for your piercings with sea salt soaks. Mix 1/4-1/8 teaspoon of sea salt per 1 cup of hot water and soak for 5-10 minutes each day. If you ever get another ear piercing, PLEASE go to a professional who will pierce you with sterile needles, not a gun.
2. This is never what people want to hear, but you should wait 4-6 months after a piercing before you begin stretching. You have to wait for it to fully heal and then wait for it to become strong enough to be stretched. That just doesn't happen in 5 weeks.
3. You skipped 16G right off the bat. You also skipped 12G. Skipping sizes is one of the easiest ways to tear your ears or get a blowout.
4. You didn't leave NEARLY long enough between sizes. Once again, this won't be what you want to hear, but you should wait at least six weeks between EACH size. Stretching is not a race, and when you started stretching you should've researched it and learned that it takes time and patience.
If I were you, I'd downsize to 18G with some good quality jewelry. Leave that for four months or so, go to 16G, leave that for six weeks, go to 14G, etc. Stretching should never be painful. If you absolutely refuse to downsize, at least take a break from stretching for quiet a while.
It's your body and your decision, but what you're doing could seriously damage your ears. You only get one pair of them, so keep them healthy and happy! I would highly recommend reading this guide before you start stretching again:

Yeah... you did a lot wrong. Corazon pretty much said it all.
6G is a huge step. I would suggest you take the advice givin to you, lest you end up with a lot of unneeded damage.

You are not an idiot. It's just important to research before you do something to your body. Kinda like looking at a tattooists portfolio Before getting a tattoo from them. Just learn from what happened, apply what you learned and do better the next time
Trust us on the sea salt though!!

Wow. I'm sorry if you didn't hear what you wanted to hear on this site. Maybe before taking your plugs out and risk entrapping infection INTO your ears you should take a shower and get the sand out of your crotch.

Wow, looks like I wasted quite a bit of my breath... you really should've made the effort to learn about stretching before you tried to do it. Sorry I didn't tell you to skip two sizes every other day and clean your ears with alcohol or something, but that's just not how you get healthy lobes.
