I don't have my ears stretched,
I only have regular ear piercings
that i've had for 5 years.
I'm impatient. My step dad told me about scalping (he used to have a 0g)
I don't wanna go through the whole process of stretching my ears one by one
Because then i'd have to pay for each one and there expensive & i'm broke.
I'm thinking of scalping my ears...
To a 4g. <--- that's my goal size for now.
My mom said she'd pay for it if i got them scalpeled.
Cuz im asking it for my birthday.
Sooo;;
About how much does it cost?
How long does it take to heal?
What are the pros and cons about scalping?

Ear stretching does not cost a lot of money if you do it right. Can you afford (a rounding average of) $20 every 2 months at the most? Cutting your ears is a lot more permanent and expensive to fix if you change your mind later in life.
Ear stretching requires patience, so if you are impatient maybe ear stretching isn't something you should do. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just being brutally honest.
I have personally done 2 ear cuttings on friends in my 7 years of body piercing and I hated doing it both times. If you are serious about cutting your lobes you should first find out if it is legal to do in your state. In some states piercers are banned from lobe cutting because it is considered a surgical procedure. If you do cut your lobes, expect there to be blood (in my experience a lot). Expect a lengthy healing process with meticulous aftercare that you NEED to follow. Either way, you are going to have to learn patience.
If I were you, I would call up a few piercers and ask them ALL your questions and concerns, a good artist with answer every question you ask. Be sure the artist is good and knows what they are doing. It's your body after all, you don't want some hack looking to make a quick buck screwing your ears up. So yeah, in short. I personally don't recommend it. I'm sure not everyone agrees with me, that's just my two cents.

I think you mean Scalpelled, not Scalped. Being scalped is having your scalp removed.
There's a section about it on Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalpelling
And a small section on BME:
http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Scalpelled_Lobe
Tbh though, if you're not prepared to but the time and cost into stretching then it's probably not for you. It's completely about patience.

I agree with them!
To add a few things... it may not be legal depending on where you live. I don't think it is here in the US, and finding a piercer who will do it anyway is NOT a good idea.
Also, when you have your ears scalpelled, they stretch a lot on their own after that. Usually people get scalpelled to several milimeters below their goal size and since you're only going to 4G you might end up passing that.
Maybe you could consider getting a 4G piercing? It might be hard to find a shop willing to do it but it's definitely an option. You could also get pierced at 6G and immediately stretched to 4G. Or even get pierced at 10G or so, wait six months, and start stretching one size at a time. I got pierced at 10G in April of 2009 and I was at 4G in less than a year.
Stretching really does take a lot of patience, and I definitely agree that if you don't have the patience to stretch to 4G you should probably think about getting a different type of modification. If you do decide to stretch to 4G, make sure you take it slowly and don't mess up your lobes. You only get one pair of them!

I agree with what everyone above me said.
Also consider that a 4g is only your goal for NOW.
When you want to go bigger you may have problems due to having less lobe.
Stretching up "one by one" allows your lobes to remain thick and healthy, scalpelling can cause lobe thinnning.

If your first goal is 4g I don't think it will end with 2 inches...

^You never know how much bigger a person may want to go.
The OP asked for pros and cons of the procedure.
Why should I leave out vital information because they their original goal is 4g?
