Idiots On Youtube

Everyday I log onto youtube and see new videos of dumb teens skipping tons of sizes and thinking its "funny" and "cool" that they do. I dont understand it and I think they all need to get a quick lesson in stretching their ears.

We can start with these two kids they are going from a normal to a 8g. The one kid is obviously in pain so he has his friend push the tapers through is ears. It is my pet peeve!

and there are 1000's of videos like this. Dont skip sizes, his ears probably look like a cats ass right now and they rightfully should.

Ugh, it's upsetting how many of those videos are out there. For some reason I can't log into my Youtube accunt anymore but when I did I always had those kinds of videos on my recommendations. I remember seeing one of some guy going from 6G to 0G! I've also seen people skipping several sizes using silicone and kids shoving huge tapers through tiny holes in high school bathrooms while screaming in pain.

The funny part is the person always says something like "All the haters need to stop commenting on my videos because my ears are fine!" Suuuure...

Hehe I am going to do a video and call it awesome fast ear lobe stretching, but the video will be of my awesome moose socks wiggling around to some Michael Jackson bc I think it would be way better than watching some moron rip his ear lobes by shoving things that are 9 sizes too big through his tiny hole..... I am seriously kidding you guys. I just think they are stupid people and I needed to laugh and imaging a video as such did it for me, sorry to bore you with my awesomeness hehe.....

Haha, I went to a tattoo parlor and told them I wanted to start stretching, I didn't have any piercings before and the guy was very professional and talked to me about it and at the end he asked me what my goal was. I told him I eventually wanted to get to a 6g and he said he had a needle that size, he told me that I would need to be extra careful in aftercare and cleaning but that overall it wouldn't be much more difficult. He brought me back and pierced me with a C-needle. There was a little pain but no resistance and no blood. So far there have been no issues. There's no redness swelling and no "ear cheese" whatsoever. And definitely no soreness.
My point is it's not as bad as you make it out to be :) As long as it's done professionally.

We're not talking about getting pierced at a large gauge, we're talking about skipping sizes. Getting pierced with a 6G needle is perfectly fine.

What's the difference? It's still stretching, and it's alot bigger skip than 20g to 16g:P

You are talking about getting pierced with 6G piercing needles, right? You didn't have any piercing to start with? That is completely different than stretching.

A piercing needle does the same thing no matter what size it is; it creates a hole where there wasn't one before. Piercings can be done as small as 20G but they can also be much larger and it's the same process. No skin is being stretched.

Stretching is the process of enlarging a hole that's already there. Piercings can be stretched easily and painly if it's a small enough jump and it's healed/strong enough to be stretched, but stretching too much at once can rip the hole or cause a blowout.

Basically, a piercing needle creates a hole where there wasn't one before. Stretching makes an existing hole bigger. Getting a piercing is a lot different than shoving a large object through a small hole in your body (sorry if that sounds wrong...) Hopefully that makes a little sense.

How is no skin being stretched? It's not like i got a dermal punch or got it scalpeled.

A 6G needle will create a 6G hole, it doesn't stretch a 20G hole up to 6G. Piercing needles don't remove tissue, but they don't exactly stretch it. It's more like pushing tissue off to the side. A hollow piercing needle creates a crescent-shaped cut of an appropriate size for the jewelry to go through. Do you consider a 20G piercing stretching? Probably not. It's the same exact process, just on a larger scale. With stretching you're putting an object that's not sharp through a healed fistula and forcing it up to that size, so you rip the existing piercing or cause it to turn inside out (blowout). Piercing needles are super sharp and they create a new hole from nothing. Large-gauge piercings are completely different than skipping sizes. I had 10G piercings done before I started stretching and I would never skip sizes when stretching.

Think about how effortlessly a piercing needle goes through skin, and then think about how much force you'd have to apply to get a taper through if you were skipping sizes. It is not the same thing at all.

I hope someone comes along to back me up because I really have no idea how to explain it any better.

Hey Lindsay maybe they should think about what it would be like to pierce their ear with a taper. As that is not the same as a piercing needle at 20g thru 10g, highly dull, skipping sizes and stretching all in one go. It is really not that hard to comprehend how being pierced at a larger gauge is infact very different than stretching. Sorry not all trying to be rude, use google it works she really ahould not have to explain the process so much.....a very expierenced lady up there she knows her stuff.....
