Well, that's what I get, I guess!

So, I woke up this morning to clean my ears, when I notice that my right ear, which I just stretched up a couple days ago, is still kind of puffy. Not normal. I took out the plug with some discomfort, and lo and behold, it's t's infected, with a little pus and blood. And if I look closer, I can see there's a tiny bit of fistula poking out, ever so tiny. Plus, I have no 14g tapers or plugs, since I had no o-rings and they got lost in my sleep. So I downsized both ears back to a 16g, and am letting my right ear heal. I'll buy some 14s from walmart, or something. I guess sometimes we have to learn the hard way...

So, right now, I think the infection is mostly gone, since I've been cleaning it with sea salt soaks twice a day, and I took the jewelry out to let it heal, so I can start over fresh when it does. Do you think January would be a good time to see if it's healed?

Yeah, January should be plenty of time to wait. It's good that you listened to your body. Your ears will thank you for it. : )

Great! That's what I thought. 8 weeks of waiting sounds a lot better than having a blowout for the rest of my life. I'm doing it the healthy way from now on!
