stretching with spirals

i have done this before at a 10g but not since. SHOULD it be okay for me to use sprials, nice wood ones to stretch? i adore spirals and wear them all the time any ways. I obviously would wait until my ears were ready to be stretched up. but Instead of taping, because every time i try my ears get dried out. no matter how much lube or oils i use. Tape just hates me.

ive always tapered in the past, but we know i wasn't always bright. Since they are worn as jewelry i figure it would be okay to use them.

points of fact, issues, concerns ? stories ? i love stories.

Spirals shouldn't be stretched with, and neither should would. Would is really porous and it's meant for healed stretches. Spirals move around a lot and can cause an uneven stretch; it's like wearing tapers as jewelry but almost worse. Especially at such a large size.
Spirals look very pretty but they should be left to healed stretches.

Well theres 2 ways you could handle this. One in my opinion, i have seen people stretch with spirals, now wood, sure its nice, looks nice, doesnt smell, but like they said above my post, it can be bad. I would say go for it, but do it very slow, and put the spiral in very slowly, definitely dont want blowouts with wood. But secondly, I havent seen some stretch with "WOOD" spirals and at such a small size. But go for it, if it works congrats! But if you notice anything wrong take it out without thought. Cheers!

^ I disagree with the "it might go wrong, but go for it!" mentality. IMO it's best to not take any risks with your ears. You would be much better off getting a taper and some single-flare plugs/tunnels. You might even be able to dead stretch if your ears are truly ready, and you have some plugs with rounded ends.

All i said was go for it, but if anything goes wrong take it out. Why are you twisting everything i say on the forum?

Nah, I'm not twisting it, I just think it's better to not risk it since something COULD go wrong. Instead of going for it I think it'd be smarter to use safer stretching methods with better materials. It's better to make sure nothing goes wrong in the first place than to do it, have something go wrong, and then take it out.

Alright i agree in a way there. But you gotta think of the other persons view. Not all of us are rich, im not saying im poor. But when i have my heart set on doing something i want it too happen but besides that if shes fine with doing it your way, than you got me on this one.(:

Haha I understand. It does suck buying a million different things for stretching; I'm not rich either, I just spend way too much money on that stuff...
