If ou are having extreme resistance, your ears probably aren't quite ready. Give them a bit longer and then try taping instead. A 2mm jump is pretty big and you can take the process in very small jumps instead of one big one. Just get some ptfe tape (also known as Teflon tape or plumber's tape.) put a few wraps on your existing glass or steel plugs and then put your plugs back in after lubing them up with some vitamin e or jojoba oil. Let them relax for a couple days to a week and then put a few more wraps on. Continue this way until you get to your next size. Once there, you should be able to simply put your new plugs right in. At this point, treat your new size as a fresh stretch. That's it. : )
