Okay, I want to gauge my ears eventually to a 0 or 00.

Everything I see online comes individually.
Should I be gauging one ear at a time?
& are arcrylic tapers really THAT bad of an idea?
I found a good deal online for a set of like 18-0.

When I'm stretching do I need to buy a pair of plugs for each size I go through? Some people say to stay at smaller sizes for like 2 weeks but others say over a month. I'm already feel anxious about getting to my goal size.

& I have my second holes pierced, as long as I don't go really big they should be okay, right?

Its ok to use the acrylic tapers to stretch, but u should always putin plugs that are metal, or glass becuz certain materials are porous and can cause infections. acrylic, stone, wood, silicone should only be worn in healed lobes. i would reccomend buying and stretching with the acrylic but then putting in steel plugs or tunnels right after u stretch. at smaller sizes i only waited like a week between stretches but my ears felt healed. everyones body is different so when u feel ur lobes are healed then go for it.(or u can wait a month and be safe) gud luck and happy stretching :)

Acrylic harbors bacteria, so like NIK said make sure you replace those tapers with some stainless steel or glass plugs. Yes, gauge one ear at a time, put your plugs in then move to the other ear.

There are several different places where you can get a taper and a pair of steel plugs for $4-$7.00 a size. I would recommend that route. Early on in my stretching career (8g-4g) I used this ebay seller, who sells a steel taper and 2 no flair steel plugs for $4. They are not the prettiest looking plugs but when you are only going to be at a size for a few weeks or so there is no point in paying a ton for jewelry. I think they sell stretching kits from 16g-00g, and they have quite a selection of larger gauge jewelry as well. I can post a link to the seller if anyone would like. If you would rather stick with a chain store Body Art Forms has a similar kit called the Poor Person's Stretching Kit, which includes an acrylic taper and steel plugs for around $5.

I was looking around on ebay as weel and found this kit
but would it be really bad to start at 14? My friend said she jumped right to a 10.

When I'm pushing in my taper what should I use to like lube it up or whatever? Lol.

its not really bad to start at a 14, i went to like a 12 when i first started. Just dont force it in if it wont go. I would highly reccommend Jojoba oil, it feels gud, its gud for lube, and its gud for ur ears. U can buy it at GNC or GM i cant remember the name exactly.

I personally frequent www.steelnavel.com. They have wonderful customer service and price matching, but I doubt you will be able to find the same quality of jewelry for any cheaper.
