PTFE Taping assistance.

hey there,

I just have a few questions about using PTFE Taping. I started taping my lobes which at the time were 4g but within a week i taped to a 2g. i was doing 2 wraps everyday/every few days. Did i tape to fast? i read on different sites that you can wrap a layer or two a day, To much? also I'm wondering if when i reach the next gauge with taping, should i stop taping and wait another few months before starting again or can i continue to tape untill im satisfied with my size?

from what I understand you shouldt tape continuously , tape to each size then give your ears a break for a month or better yet a few months then you can tape again . as far as reaching 2ga in 2 weeks worth of tape its probably ok your ears may have been lose already if you were at 4 for a long time .. but I do recommend a lil slower next time say 2 layers every 4 days is what I heard .. good luck

i jus taped up to 1/2 im gonna let them relax for 2 or 3 weeks and start the whole process again...based on my knowledge from people with massive lobes you add 2-4 layers every other day until you hit the next size...fyi 13 wraps equals a mm

Thanks for the advise guys. i was also wondering how long i can keep the tape on for? should i be changing it often? is it safe to leave on for a few weeks to a month?
