Triangle Tunnel Gauges
so recently, I was looking online for gauges and I found some that had a triangle shape...I've never seen these on anybody but they look pretty cool and I was wondering if anybody had ever worn something like this and if so, do you have to stretch in a specific way?
Right ear: 0g, two 6gs on lobe; 2g on cartilage....
goal: 00 on lobe! perhaps a 0g on cartilage?
Left ear: 8g, two 14gs on lobe; 14g on cartilage
goal: 00 on lobe!

Re: Triangle Tunnel Gauges
The reason you haven't seen anyone sporting them as they are completely uncomfortable as well as creating unnecessary pressure points on your lobes. These points will thin out your lobes and give you issues. Being in the industry for quite some time, I have yet to hear anything good about them. Stick with circular plugs and only use materials that are safe for you to wear
There are a ton of options, and companies such as myself that offer unique and completely customizable jewelry so you can stand out in a crowd

I understand the triangle and square plugs aren't good but what if you started with a square piercing or a triangle piercing? Would it stretch using those shaped plugs the same way a circular piercing stretches? Just curious and was thinking about it after reading this.

The whole nature of stretching means that your ears want to unstretch back. So there'd still be thin spots etc, and that'd be worse if it were pierced/punched that way (some bits would be closer to the edge from the start).
Shaped cartilage punches work fine though. No springy fleshy bits there. Steve Haworth does hearts, and anatometal makes jewellery for them. You can't stretch them or anything though, and I've seen one where the inner point has kinda rounded itself out.
