Need Help Please!?

So I have stretched my ears to a 8g and i decided that i had my piercing to low. So, Its been about 6 months now and my ears are completely back to earring size 16g or 18g. I want to take them out and let the hole heal completely and then re pierce them higher for the purpose of stretching. I will have this done at a local piercing. Can this be done? Any help is appreciated!

It just depends on your body. you would have to take out your 16 or 18g jewlery and try, if it doesnt go shut, you will be doomed
