Bruising?

Alrighty so I have a bit of an issue. I've noticed that I have bruising on the bottom of my lobes especially on my left lobe. I first thought that it might've been something totally different (hickey perhaps) so I wasn't concerned until I noticed faint bruising on my right lobe as well.
I'm wondering if this is caused by me not waiting long enough between stretches; I usually size up when there is little to no hesitiation for the new size. I've always babied the crap out of them since my first tear. Or if it may possibly be my jewelery. I wear metal J-Hook expanders backwards in a 4g. I'm also a very rough sleeper, to the point where I've gotten tears while sleeping (hence why I wear them backwards). I don't bruise very easily at all so this is a bit concerning. It also occurred with the 6g J-Hooks I wore before.
Has anyone else experienced this?

J hooks?
No idea what they are but it sounds like you shouldn't be sleeping in them. Get some single flare plugs. It should solve your problem.

Re: Bruising?

Sorry their also called Talon expanders, I call them J-Hooks because they are shaped like a J. That's kind of what I expected because their stainless steel and they have a bit of weight to them. It's still a pretty fresh stretch a week old, so I'll switch to a pair of plugs in a week or so when it feels comfortable to take them out. Thanks for your help :D
