Ok so I didn't really think about it and bought a pair of metal pinchers to go from 6g to 4g after a week of wearing them I couldn't sleep in them any more and they are just difficult to wear! Lol so I went and bought the only plugs I could find around here which are acrylic... I stretched a little less than a week ago and currently just put the acrylic plugs in after washing the real well.. My question is is it ok to keep wearing the acrylic in a 6 day old stretch? And is it true that u shouldn't remove your plugs for a minimum of two weeks after stretching? If so why? Main concern is acrylic tho lol thanks Logan

You really shouldn't be wearing it so if you can afford to go get titanium, 316LVM SS or glass go get it. But if you can't then make sure you clean them frequently to prevent infection and as soon as you can afford new ones I'd get some non-acrylic ones. Besides the acrylic in fresh stretch and bacteria issue unless its dental acrylic its really not too safe to wear on a long term basis because the chemicals leech into your ears/skin from the acrylic. Do not wash with steaming hot water and do not use alcohol on them because this will speed up the leeching/break down of the acrylic.

Well if I only wear them about 10 hours a day do u think it will b ok as long as I wash them and my ears twice in that 10hrs? I can't afford any metal plugs bc I have to drive to get them or have them shipped but the only local place to get them only have acrylic and stone and wood

would it b ok?

You should be fine unless you have extremely sensitive skin. Some people don't do well with acrylic while others are fine. Just put in your steel pinchers every now and then so your ears won't be exposed to the acrylic long-term. Maybe one day out of the week or something.
And for future reference, pinchers aren't the best things to stretch with, especially at sizes that aren't tiny. They can weigh your ears down and put lots of pressure on them, putting you at greater risk for a blowout.
