is it bleeding or just redness?
soo i'm going from standard ear piercings that I've had for about 15 years (since basically birth) and i'm using a 14g taper to start. i've slowly been pushing in taper further into my ear, but then i noticed redness around them. i took the tapers out and my hole appear red. is it bleeding or just inflamation? i don't want to build up scar tissue...
New to stretching, starting with my little 14g baby 
Three holes on each ear, not really looking for any more...
Goal: 6g, nothing bigger because I don't want to risk my ears becoming unable to shrink back to normal.

It sounds like your ears just aren't ready to go to 14G. A lot of people's ears will stretch on their own a little throughout the years so they can do 14G first, but you might need to start with 18G-16G.

That'll happen when you skip sizes. Get something in 16g, it's likely your piercings are only 18g.

your signature states you will want to eventually have normal ears. my suggestion to you is not to stretch. with your goal size, you can buy all kinds of ear rings that look as though you have stretched ears but once you start putting bigger jewelry in your ears, there is NO guarantee your ears will look the same again.

1 1/4" each lobe. 2g septum. 12g lebret.
6g tongue retired. 12g Hand webbing retired. 12g bridge retired.
12g madison retired. 10g ampallang regretfully retired.
Stretching goal: 1" again. No real need to stop if my ears still want to go.
