lol i find this thread interesting. RADCAZ +1 . 4g is good if u are worried about image or afraid of bigger sizes or if u like the preppy religious girls. I personally like tatted pierced girls with huge lobes so my stretching doesnt matter becuz no matter how big i go they will like it. Ur young to so just think it over really hard an be careful, u dont wana ruin ur lobes for a small size like 4 unless u really want it.

Yeah, because everyone who decides to keep their stretched ears small is just worried about what everyone thinks or "afraid" to go bigger.

Did you ever think that some people might like being at small sizes because they have more options for jewelry, that are also cheaper? Or just because they like small stretches more than huge stretches? All of the "go big or go home" people seem really narrow-minded. Just because someone is into tattoos, piercings, and stretched ears doesn't mean they have to take them all to the extreme.

I think everyone has a size that fits their face....you should never stretch to impress girls bc we don't stretch to impress guys we all do it for our own personal reasons. I don't believe in the bigger is better menality either. You can go as big or as small as you see fit and you will know when the size is a good fit for you, but with all that said 4g is a good size....

RADCAZ theory is highly flawed I am extreemly tattooed but I still prefer smaller gauge ears (on me ) like you pointed out some people prefer the different jewelry options . Im not staying at 4 ga because Im afraid or because of my "image " . If I was worried about what people thought I dont think Id have a full sleeve .. im staying at 4 to 2 ga because at bigger sized you can only wear plugs and tunnels . I like spirals and hangies and I dont wanna give up wearing them because someone thinks Im pussy for not going bigger ..

Indeed. Most of the time, people who criticize others' motives are the ones who have the most questionable motives themselves. Insecurity and ignorance breed hatred and discord. Perhaps we're just seeing a backlash because of poor self image...

@Radcaz I can honestly say I never mentioned anything about your advice specifically and I didn't direct anything towards you either. It doesn't really matter to me if your lobes are big or small, healthy or not. They aren't my lobes and idk how you go about stretching them and idk you. How you stretch is your buisness. Your advice whether it be good advice or bad advice, is still advice and I am sure whoever appreciates your input as much as they do anyone else. I don't think ppl should knock anyone for giving advice, bc its up to the person asking for the advice to choose what to do about their situation, not everyone else. I can't say going big is good and I can't say its bad, I just know from personal findings and friends that big doesn't always look good on everyone, just like small doesn't look good on everyone. To each their own. I wish everyone the best of luck with stretching and I hope that everyone has great lobes, but in anyworld what I may or may not think doesn't matter to anyone but me and all that matters at the end of the day is that each person is happy with their stretched lobes no matter how they got to where they are. I am not here to be mean or rude or diss anyone, I am here bc I think its a really good forum with some good ppl and good advice. I just basically wanted to say I am sorry if I made you feel slighted in anyway that was not my intentions!!!!

You are assuming we don't "appreciate" big lobes just because we don't have huge stretches. I have said time and time again, I LOVE the look of huge stretches, I just can't have them because of the career I want to pursue. I also don't know if I could give up hanging jewelry and other stuff that looks best in smaller sizes.

That being said, your lobes are like 2 sizes bigger than mine. Do you really think that gives you so much more authority to talk about stretching? By your logic, I couldn't give advice to someone who's at 1/2" because I haven't stretched another two sizes. But I've been from 10G to 00G, and I can say that no stretch has been any different than another one except for the size of the jewelry. The only thing I don't have much experience with is taping and I usually leave taping-related questions to those who have experience with it.

Also, the advice we're giving is advice we KNOW will work. You stretched too fast and got really lucky. If you tell someone they should do what you did, you don't KNOW that will work. You're giving them a lot more high-risk advice, we're just telling them ways that they can pretty much be guaranteed healthy lobes, not ways they might get them if they're lucky.

In response to your post about the look of naked lobes not being important... that might be true up to a point, but have you ever seen someone with really big stretches that you can tell have blowouts? Or so thin that you can't even see their ear below the jewelry? It really ruins the whole look and I think most people would rather have thick, blowout-free lobes without scar tissue.

You're right, Lindsay, there's no point in responding to him. He doesn't even follow his own advice, so he's just being a troll and a blowhard. He says "stretch when your ears are ready," but then he claims he "ignored the pain and stretched anyway." Clearly his "experience" taught him loads about gambling. It's pointless to even acknowledge his arguments.
