I did it, and they are healthy, but it really depend on your skin elasticity.
- 1 inch lobes, madison microdermal 16/07/10 and venoms 2/07/11.
RIP self-done tongue web, retired wrist surface and tongue.
First tattoo on right thigh - line done (1h20)
Want: 4g septum, tattoo on left ribs/behing ear.

When it comes to the matter of fractions of an inch in size skipping, it really is a personal matter. Judge your ears accordingly and you should be fine,

If you want healthy lobes and no chance to get a blow-out you shouldn't skip sizes. But since your other ear is fine, I think you have enough skin elacity to do it to your other ear too, but I wouldn't recommend to skip sizes.

I skipped from a 3/4 to one inch. Making the skip I did, put my stretching schedule about two months. All I know is, some how, they will catch up with you one way or another. It's like, the modgod is watching your every move. Some how, skipping sizes, always, I repeat ALWAYS, will mess your ear up. Making the skip I did, put my stretching schedule about two months. Oh by the way, I would NEVER recommend stretching a fresh piercing, for at least 5+ months.
