8 g to 6g...help

after not knowing what size i had i figured it out and now i'm stuck. i have had 8g's in my ear for about 6 months and cannot for the life of me get to 6g.

for some reason 8 gauge to 6 gauge has been the only stretch that actually made my lobes swell up...it took me about 7 weeks to make that stretch with minimal pain...are you using steel tapers? Ive found that my ears jus cant be stretch with acrylic for some reason they dont go in as smooth as steel...
