I'm probably really stupid...
What is acrylic? Is it that plastic-y type stuff?
I feel like such a noob, because I don't have any piercings or tatts.
Have: The standard 20g, pierced with a gun, lobes.
Want: A couple tatts, 7/16 lobes maybe a lip piercing or two.
P.S. I'm an avid Harry Potter freak.

yes thats it , but some is actually just plastic to and posing as acrylic , wich you may or may not know either isnt great for fresh stretches but is fine for healed ones as long as you dont have an allergy , I wear acrylic on a pretty regular basis and never had issues I even wear cheap stuff ( in well healed stretches ) and never had a problem yet but some people react badly very quickly ...

Thanks! But, now, another annoying noob question: I keep reading that Acrylic is a big no. Cause it's porous and whatever. But, everyone's different, so will any and everyone get a reaction?

As a general rule don't wear acrylic in fresh stretches, it makes infections more likely and can irritate your ears. They're fine in healed lobes though, so long as you don't have a reaction to them.
