Work force!! welcomed :)
On may 19, 11 I stretched to a 12g so their fairly fresh! I just started a new job today (5/27/11) and they welcome tats/peircing/gauges and everything! but my question is, I work outside with animals, cleaning and watering and as the tempatures rise and working outside being sweaty and dirt flying all around is it bad for my ears? like arn't I more apt to getting infections? I know as soon as i get home I clean them but I would think damage could already be done while during the day of all the bacteria. Just would like to know if im putting my ears in danger n if I can prevent something from happening! Any feed back would be most helpful!! Thank you

As long as you're careful with stretching and don't have any open wounds you'll be fine. And don't touch your ears with dirty hands.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

Ok good, I don't have any open wounds because I stretch right lol and I make sure not to touch them with dirty hands. Im just afraid that stuff will get on the stretcher n somehow get inside my ear, i mean I don't have open sores I just kinda freak out about getting infections n stuff. I really don't want to go threw that haha Thank you for your help

I work with animals and their mess as well. Yes the best thing to do is not touch your ears while at work because I find it so easy to forget and scratch at or touch my ears for some random reason. Also, just make sure u give your ears a good washing after each work day...nothing major if they are healed. I usually just wipe around them with a warm washcloth and mild soap after a shower. Helps keep the gunk and bacteria from building up!
