My girlfriend just stretched for the first time

And it's been about three days since she went from a 16g to a 12g(Yes I know she skipped a size). She was just soaking her ears and noticed that her holes have what she calls "white goop" coming out of them that have the consistency of snot. She has had her ears pierced since forever so it's not a fresh piercing. So what we are wondering was, is this so called "white goop" a bad thing?

It's probably just lymph, a clear or whiteish secretion which is completely normal, although you make it sound like there's an unusually large amount of it, meaning she's probably irritated her ear by stretching too much, she should downsize to 14 to relieve the irritation. Also what jewellery material is she wearing?

She is wearing surgical steel captive bead rings. I'm not sure of the amount of "white goop" because I have yet to see it.

Since she skipped a size, this isn't a good sign. The only goop that shouldn't concern you is ear cheese, the smegma a healed piercing will make until you wash it. It's usually more waxy than slippery, like belly button goo. So while lymph goo isn't terrible, it isn't ideal, and she might need to downsize and baby that piercing for awhile. The worst goop would be pus, meaning an infection is occurring.

Lymph is a clearish or yellowish fluid that makes a crystal like crust. Pus is opaque, often yellow, white, or greenish, and makes a sandy crust. Smegma, which is just the dirt and oil from a healthy piercing, won't make a crust, but is whitish and smells like funky unwashed body odor. It's the one that isn't bad, it just means you need a shower.
