My dislike for Tapers is from what I have watched and read about them...there is more material to travel through the lobe thus inflicting more trauma to the area.
Dead Stretching, from my own experience.... there is less material to travel through and only one piece.
I'm still out on what is the best way to stretch my lobe.....
Thanks for the imput.
Jingle Bells

Well I had absolutely no discomfort whatsoever, compared to when I had used tapers.
When I used tapers to stretch, it always felt like they would be trying pull the insides out of my ear by stretching it over the taper, and it always felt really uncomfortable. Usually got a sensation of "pinching" and just overall the tapers always made me feel like I was forcing my ear to stretch (even though it was ready).
Also there was this one time where I had to leave the tapers in overnight after stretching, because I was having trouble following it through with the plug, and when I woke up the next morning my ear was so sore from the freaking things being so heavy and digging into my neck :-\
I decided to try the dead stretch method for 2g to 1g because I was sick of using tapers, and I must say, it was such an easy stretch it didn't even feel like a stretch. It just felt like I was putting in new jewellery.
Anyways, that's my experience with it
