Question about 2g
I ordered the 2g steel stretching kit from BAF, it just got here today and I decided to check out the size of the plugs with the gauge reference card just to make sure they matched. Well they are 6 mm exactly. On the card it says 6 mm & 6.5 mm. Why are there multiple sizes for one gauge? Anyway they went it easier than any other size I've done so far which is kind of surprising, but I had my 4's in for over two months so that was probably why.
Re: Question about 2g
2g is 6.543mm. So they're a little smaller than a true 2g (technically they're closer in size to 3g), which is common with cheap steel no name plugs. Take this into account if you're stretching further, going to a true 0g would be over a 2mm stretch from this size. 1g, teflon taping, lots of time, etc. would be a good idea.
A true 4g is less than 1mm smaller than your current plugs, so that may explain the ease of getting them in.

Thanks for confirming what I thought :/ Where can you find more accurate sizes online?
Also since this stretch was so small and easy do I still have to wait a month or two before going to a 1g or can I skip a few weeks? These "3g" plugs are already somewhat loose and my lobes have felt fine the whole time.

Re: Question about 2g
2G varies from 6mm-6.5mm... I made sure the plugs I did my original 2G stretch with were 6mm, then I went back and forth between the different 2G sizes for a few months without any trouble. After four months 1G went in extremely easily.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

Re: Question about 2g
Jewelry sizes vary by manufacturer. If you have a question about a specific pair from BFA (E.g. "Is this 2g steel plug 6 mm or 6.5 mm?) You can ask it on their Forum: Ask BAF about our jewelry
