HELP?! *No newbs*

Okay this is my problem. I am currently at 5/8's but i bought the really flexible plugs (3/4's) from hot topic. Anyhow, They keep folding evertime I try stretching them! Now is there anyone who can tell me an EASY way of making my ears stretch without TAPE or TAPERS?
Btw sorry about the caps, some people will give me a idiotic answer where i specifally ask without...
I dont wanna go all the way to baybrook to buy some new ones.
Is there anything else i could use?
PLEASE only answer if you have a suggestion or answer. Dont answer if you dont know. 8-)

DO NOT stretch with silicone.
Idiotic idea, and it'll only end badly eventually.
Silicone is super porous, and when your ears are healing, skin can heal into the silicone. And then when you go to take them out you find they're fused into your skin, and you have to pull/cut off your skin too.
It doesn't happen every time, but its a very common thing. Plus its hard to clean. And stretching with silicone is worse, as it forces your ears to stretch suddenly, even if they aren't ready. More tears, even more likely to have problems.

Taping is easy. PTFE tape is under $1, easy to find in any hardware store/aisle. Just make sure to use lots of lube.

Plus you're missing a size inbetween anyway.

Re: HELP?! *No newbs*

I always do it, you see I hate buying tapers online. Im impatient cause it takes like 10 days?
I've been using silicone plugs since I've been at 1/2's i believe?
I know, but once again my impatientness kicks in again. It took me about a month to go from 7/16's to 5/8's. I cant find my size tapers anywhere? :x
I've tried that "taping theory" its a pain in the ass! :/

Well thats up to you if you wanna risk it.
And if you can't wait like a week? for an online order, or get around to going into town and finding some... well thats up to you too.
I think that'd be kinda irresponsible, and a great way to get into problems and get fugly ears. But its up to you :)

Lol...I haven't heard that word in a loooonnnggg time. Anywho, take it from me, don't use silicone so quick. That's why I've got a tear in my lobe right now. I was at 3/4" no problems at all, I got cocky and thought my lobes were fine so I threw in my clear KAOS plugs for a day...bam, tore my lobe and I've had to put in my old taped plugs. The key to having healthy stretched lobes is patience. Anyone can have stretched ears, but plz don't be one of those ppl with scar tissue lobes

Don't get anything from spencers and don't stretch with kaos earskins. If you absolutely need to just buy some metal tunnels or plugs from hot topic or somethin and tape those. That's only if you absolutely refuse to buy online.

Just in case you're not convinced yet, don't stretch with silicone! You're actually pretty lucky that it won't expand, because it's actually giving you a warning that your ears aren't ready. Most of the time silicone just forces your ears up a size whether you're ready or not. Silicone is meant for old, settled stretches.

If you can't wait 10 days to stretch, you're going too fast. Also, don't buy that Hot Topic or Spencer's junk. Some of it is okay, but they overcharge for it. I'm sure there's a head shop in your town. While you're there, buy yourself a nice piece and chill out a little bit :D

Re: HELP?! *No newbs*

What I've noticed is the only things Hot Topic doesn't overcharge for are KAOS earskins and some acrylic logo plugs. Typically they don't charge less for smaller sizes, so when you get into the bigger sizes which websites charge more for, you're about breaking even. I can get 3/4" earskins for $19 and some change at hot topic. I'd pay about the same online. Back on topic, there really isn't any way to stretch your lobes without tapers or taping. Shovin a plug in your ear aka dead stretching is a terrible idea cause that'll only increase your chances of a blow out, and wearing heavy jewerly takes a really long time...and again, you'll still be pushing a plug through your ear. You really are better off just buying some tapers or taping. It's cheaper and safer.
