4g double flares:)

when i put in my first ever pair of double flares at 2g i took me a while to figure it out. next time you try go SUPER slow, let your ear stretch over the flare. it hurts but if you do it properly it wont rip or tear your ear or make it bleed. and whatever you do dont shove it in

One technique I've always used that works well is like up one side of the flare to the back of your ear, not quite perpendicular, but not flush either, kinda at an angle, and gently push it in, applying force inward toward your face...it's kinda hard to explain through a message board and I have no way of uploading a video cause I wouldn't b able to get the angle right lol. If you're confused just let me know.

Double flares are only meant for ears that are well-adjusted to their new size and loosened up a bit. So you might have to wait several weeks after stretching before you're ready for double flares. One technique I've heard is to put them in like you would a button on clothing.

the easiest way:

hold the plug behind your lobe on an angle. I do it pointing up so that the bottom corner of the plug is sticking through the lobe. with your thumbs on the back and your index fingers on the front of your lobe, gently and I mean GENTLY pull down to make a little room. then carefully move the plug around so that the rest of the plug goes through your ear. it should look as if your skin is getting on the plug bit by bit.

after the first time you put them in, it'll get much easier. think about it: lets say you're at a 0g (8.2mm), but the flares on the plugs are 1mm higher than the size of the jewelry. that means that to wear double flared 0g plugs, your ears have to be ready to wear jewelry that's 9.2mm (00g). You'll also notice that stretching after wearing double flared jewelry is omg-so-much-easier because the outside part of your lobes (where the plugs flare) are already at the next size or pretty darn close.

Yeah i've been at a 4g since July so i'm definitely adjusted to the size so hopefully it won't be too hard but i'll for sure take it slow and gently. Is there some kind of lube that would make easier?

I've used vitamin E lotion since I started a year and a half ago.
