What people think

Hey, my ears arnt even pierced but I am think about getting them pierced and stretching up to a 00g. I just dont want people to think Im some kind of faggy hardcore kid. I cant stand hardcore music or the people that listen to it. I just think ear stretching is cool. Does anyone get profiled as a hardcore kid, scenester or any thing of that sort?

I have stretched ears and hardcore is pretty much the only type of music I DON'T listen to, haha. Plus I think the hardcore trend will be dying out pretty soon (probably by the time you reach your goal size) anyway.

I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.

I am 38 and am definitely not a hardcore kid ! lol
I will be stretching to 0 or 00 and do not care what others think.

Yeah People Think Your Weird or a Freak and listen to "Hardcore" music but that's life people are going to think what their going to think but if you don't want to be labeled don't get them.....I'm just saying don't worry about what they think its not their ears its yours do as you please.

Here most people that wear stretches are people that listen to hardcore/metal music, tattoo artist, etc.

However I'm talking about 18-30 years old, not 14 years old scene kids.

You're going to get stereotyped, that's human nature, but you should do whatever makes you happy. I'm not hardcore and I don't typically listen to metal (really, I'll listen to anything that takes my fancy regardless of genre) but I'm stretching my ears because I want to.

Just live your life 'til you're dead and stop being concerned about what everybody else is doing. :D

Basically what everyone else has been saying. I used to listen to nothing but hardcore, now that's such a tiny fraction of what I listen to, yet I still get stereotyped as a core kid simply because of my ears. Just do what you want to do man. I wanted my ears stretched even though I knew every little 14 year old kid would envy my ears and everyone my age would think I wish I was 14 again lol. Other people can't define who you are, only you can.
The sound of gun fire so loud and rapid, but it seems to be so quiet around me, and out of nowhere I feel peace cover me. I reach down and reload my ticket home. The taste of cold steel on my lips, and a second later silence fills the January air...

I do listen to some hardcore but then i also listen to Bob Marley, The Clash, Black Flag and Elvis Costello, yet i still get classified as emo or scene or whatever, oh well i dont care.
