Well if it was a reputable shop I can almost guarantee they used a needle... no good piercer will even touch a piercing gun.
And that doesn't sound good... definitely don't pick at/peel anything or you'll make it much worse. Do some sea salt soaks and don't touch or mess with the piercings. Also don't massage them until they're completely healed.

I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.

I haven't been picking or peeling, no worries. I do notice that it leaks more pimple-like fluid whenever I take it out in the morning. Just want to get all that fluid out of my ears.. I do use H2Ocean on my jewelry and piercing. The only time I take it out is in the morning to soak it in h2ocean and for when I shower. My ears are a lot more used to the 12g's now, I can take them out and put them in much easier with no pain.

lol these things are no joke!
little update: my ears seem fine now, and i cant tell if theres still any leakage when removing my jewelry. do notice crust on my o-rings though.
