Try stretching with silicone:] it worked for me. You just have to lube it a bunch with like vitamin E

Re: Increasing ear lobe elasticity?
I've been at 0g for a little over 2 months, so I don't know if that's the typical amount of time you should wait at that size, but whatever, my ears definitely weren't having it haha
Yeah, I started massaging with jojoba oil ever since then, so I'll keep that up and hope it helps.
Looking for 9mm ones sounds like a good idea. I remember it helped a ton when I went to 1g before going to 0g.
Thanks for the advice :]

Go for Teflon taping! It's much more gradual and almost 0 pain!

Yeah but that's YOUR ears. Or maybe your ethnicity ? Here everyone can EASILY stretch after 2-3 weeks without effort...corazon_de_oro wrote:"All this?" Like two months is just such an unbelievably long time? That's usually the minimum amount of time my lobes take to be ready for a stretch... it's not like she's been at 0G for three years.magalo le matelot wrote:Yeah I know I just don't understand how they can't be ready after all this.

Re: Increasing ear lobe elasticity?
Well that's what most people do here too, but most people here with stretched lobes have really disgusting ones. The only people I know with healthy-looking lobes really took their time with them. I seriously doubt that "everyone" can stretch every 2-3 weeks without pain or resistance. Think about how much pressure you put on your ear every time you stretch. If you don't allow plenty of time for it to relax and loosen up it's just going to get weak and eventually tear. Yeah, maybe some people get lucky when they stretch quickly, but it's really not a good idea.
I don't even know why I bother telling you this, though. You're just going to ignore it and think I'm wrong because my lobes are smaller than yours.

I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

Using tape might be the other option, like other people have suggested, but I've never used it myself.

^______ I second that! I took 5 years to get to 5/8" and 4 years later I am still happy where I am at.
It's not a revolution, it's a lifestyle.

Re: Increasing ear lobe elasticity?
I'm sure you could've avoided that blowout if you would've been more patient with stretching, though. I'm not saying that stretching every 2-3 weeks will make your ears rip in half and fall off, just that they won't look as nice as they could. Also, you could be building up scar tissue without even realizing it.Nic wrote:Hey =.( my ears arent that fucked up! il admit they arent perfect but they arent ugly. once i get to an inch ima post sum pics of my ears.
