Bactine does work really well. Another simple product that you can find anywhere that isn't that expensive is neosporin, it's more of a healing process when you rip your ear, or have an infection but neosporin works wonders! There are many oils out there that inexpensive for after care too, just google it!

To clean your gauges yes, but not your actual ear. The risk of cleaning your ear out with hydrogen peroxide will cause the skin to dry and when placing the gauge back into you ear might cause it to crack or split. I think the easiest way to clean your gauges and ears is to just use regular body soap when you are in the shower, that's what I've used all along and it has worked just fine.

i do sea salt soaks everyday. it helps the healing process. simply get some seal salt from your local grocery store and some warm water and you're good to go. you can also purchase "H2ocean" from like hottopic. it's like a sea salt soak in a can already mixed and ready to go. that also is a good aftercare product to use.

Bought some 100% raw shea butter today and so far I like it and it smells nice, I usually use emu oil but its kinda expensive and I clean my lobes everyday in the shower with chamomile soap and wash my plugs with some regular antibacterial soap.
