1/2 inch

My long term goal is 1/2 inch but my mom wont let me go there because she feels that they won't close up even when I tell her it depends on the person. I have 0g in right now and if I take them they will go down to a 8g in 2 weeks. Do you guys think that my 1/2 inches would close up to at least where I can put a regular earing in without it falling out?

It's highly doubtful they will close up that small. 8g may be the smallest your ears will close now. If you are going to stretch your ears, you should consider it a permanent modification. You are correct, everyone is different, but there are also limits to skin elasticity and it's best to think once you are over about a 4g your ears aren't going to ever be quite like they were. You could be lucky, but I really wouldn't count on it.
