Up sizing difficulties.

I'm currently at 1/2 in and am up sizing to 9/16 but my lobes don't seem very flexible. Its really hard for me to up size. So what I'm wondering is if there is anything I can put on my lobes that will help them stretch easier. Post a response or hit me up in my inbox. :] Thanks!

How long have you been at 1/2 inch? Perhaps wait longer. If you have been at 1/2 in for a good amount of time, try using the taping method.

Just be sure you're not forcing things or feeling too much pain. If you start to have noticeable pain stop.

Re: Up sizing difficulties.

I have veen at 1/2 in for over a year now. I just noticed that my lobes are kinda tight. Like they dont like to stretch. So i want something to put on them to make my lobes more stretchy. Haha. I heard vitamin e oil helps with giving them more elasticity if you put it on daily and massage. Thanks guys. :)

Re: Up sizing difficulties.

The increased bloodflow from the massage can help some. The other thing you can try is downsizing and the stretching up again. Some people find that when they downsize and restretch, their ears get stretchier. No promises, though. Also, bear in mind that some people have more elastic skin than others.

It sounds like you have been at your current size for plenty of time. You could always try taping up so you do little, incremental stretches every few days. It won't make your lobes stretchier, per se, but it will help you move up to the next size. : )

Re: Up sizing difficulties.

I've tried downsizing aswell, a few times. The tape method has been done too! I don't like using the tape. It holds everything and cause irritation in my lobes. I'm going to try the vitamin oil thing and massage the oil on my lobes daily for a while and see how that goes. Ill let you guys know how it goes and perhaps if you need help with the same issue I'm having it can help you. Hah. So I'll keep posted. :)

Re: Up sizing difficulties.

Have you tried with both ptfe tape and bondage tape? I've heard people having trouble with ptfe tape have had success with bondage tape. The finish is different and could be easier on your lobes. Anyway, best of luck to you!

Is there any chance you could have developed scar tissue? Extra virgin olive oil rubs are good to help soften it up, plus you're likely to have it in the pantry already.
