Taping?
Hello, I'm currently at 14g but will be moving up to 12g this week and I have a 10g plug waiting in line. The thing is, on the 10g plug, the face of it is a 4g while the bar is 10g and I Plan on taping up to 4g with it. I bought plumbers tape at wal-mart but I still have questions, like how often will I have to change tape (if ever) and how many wraps a week using plumbers? All answers greatly appreciated! <3
I have: 2g lobes, 14g right helix
I want: 00g lobes, 2 or 3 more lobe piercings, bridge piercing, tongue, nose, septum, monroe

Re: Taping?
You would do yourself a great service by not simply taping and taping and taping again. Pause for at least a month or two at 8g and 6g, even buying jewelry at that size. Taping is not exactly a continuous process. Think of it as a bunch of micro-stretches between sizes.
As far as adding layers, add a wrap or two every couple of days. Take it nice and easy and you'll be in great shape. Be sure to lube up the fresh tape really well so it doesn't stick.
As far as changing the tape, do it as often as you feel is necessary. Some peole completely rewrap their plugs every time they add tape. Some just add and add and add until they get to the next size. It's a very personal thing.
Finally, if you plan on taping, I recommend you get calipers so you can measure the progress and stop at the varying sizes. Also, if you change all the tape, you'll want to measure and wrap up to the size you were at.
Good luck in your journey! : )

Re: Taping?
Wow, thanks so much! Very informative, I just hate throwing money away at plugs that are wayy over priced (Hot Topic, because buying online is out of the question right now) and that I only wear for 1-2months. But maybe they're worth it lol
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
