wood or organic or stone plugs are cleaner and safer and do not harbor bacteria as much. when you wear silicone plugs they make your ears stink more so it must do something, right? I wouldn't necessarily say they are BAD for you but just maybe not as good...

I used to just put tape around my old jewelry until I was at the next size... however now there is new studies about leaking bad stuff into your ears cuz of the electrical tape so I dunno if thats the best advice. However, I've never had trouble with this method. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't cost ...

I only wear double flare.
I like them because I never have to worry about losing my plugs or the o-rings. I've been at 5/8" for 15 years and I still haven't lost a single plug yet!
