Re: How did Ear Stretching Start in the U.S?

I think it would be all right to say that you're better off doing your own research than having one of us do it for you. It's your project, not ours, after all. ;) Look up how it started yourself, and then you can tell us! :D

Re: Never use anything to heal, What should I start with ?

Not washing lobes means keeping bad bacteria on the lobes.

If you really don't want to use a soap or sea salt water on your ears, you can at least rinse them with warm water. The warmest you can tolerate (without pain or discomfort) so that it can clean everything out. Some people do that and it ...

Re: Oils and Lubrication?

You can buy a stretching kit with a taper, you know.

A lot safer than dead stretching. You wouldn't want to risk tearing your lobes or actually getting a blowout. You only got two lobes, so take care of them and be nice! Remember that. :D

Re: Intro/Advice?

Hello there! :D

After reading your stretching experience, I'm not sure if scarring would cause sensitivity like that to the fistula... scarring causes difficulty in stretching, but it sounds like your skin is just reacting to something. *shrugs*

It sounds similar to an allergy, even, but maybe you ...

Re: Oils and Lubrication?

Using natural oils is going to be your best bet.

Vitamin E, jojoba, emu, or Naked oil are great oils to try out. I go between jojoba, emu, and Holey Butt'r(it isn't an oil. but it does have oils in it). My ears are soft, elastic, and thick from using them and massaging. :D

Re: Never use anything to heal, What should I start with ?

I would suggest steering clear of any antibiotic ointments in general if you can help it.

One of the better methods you could use to heal your ears and keep them clean is sea salt water (Sea Salt Soak [SSS]).

There are also good piercing aftercare soaps out there that are very gentle on the skin ...

Re: sticky liquid coming out your ear gauge?

If you don't feel any swelling and warmth, then the liquid is most likely NOT pus. It's most likely lymphatic fluid, which is pretty normal with new piercings and stretches. Lymphatic fluid aids the healing process.

It's when your ears are warm, swollen, and the liquid is yellow/greenish along with ...
