Right now I have stainless steel in them.
I cleaned them out yesterday once more, and it seems like the swelling has gone down a bit more...
But is going back to 2g the wisest choice? I just don't want them to scar or stay permanently like this.

Just recently put size 0 gauges in, about two days ago.
I had a size 2 for longer than a month.
Once I put the 0's in, my ears got swollen but I assumed it was normal and it would go down eventually; there was a bit of blood on the first day.

Silicone plugs
I have heard that silicone plugs are very easy way to stretch ears, however I have also heard that due to the fact it is bendy like the skin might overcome it or not accept it well.
So, are silicone plugs a good idea for stretching? or not?

I was at 6g for a month and a couple weeks. I've read several places it is the minimum recommended amount of time to leave them in for it to heal safely.
