your ears are most likely too swollen to fit the plug. if you are using tapers (which i suggest you shouldnt) then just leave the taper in there for a day or two, then try again. what you should be doing is taping. tapers cause blowouts.

the least smelly plugs would be wood. any organic has the least smell.
