What Household Item could I use as 3/4th's Tunnels?

Discuss all things ear stretching

by Zmandudesk8 » Mon May 30, 2011 9:41 pm

Hello everyone, sorry to make this my first post. But after reading through the forum, it seems that everyone is very friendly and helpful. :D Anyway, What could I use as 3/4th's tunnels? I don't have a car right now, and I really don't have the money to spend on jewelry at the moment. I'm also not very good at making my own jewelry. Any ideas?

Nothing. You shouldn't be using household items as jewelry.
Not only is it harmful for your ears but you'd look pretty stupid with something crudely made in your ear.
Try these. If you can't afford these, then stretching up to 3/4 should be your last priority.

@castrol stretching your ears shouldnt hurt. if it hurts youre doing it wrong.

stretching hurts due to peoples pain tolerance , what might not hurt m could hurt you . ergo , stretching can hurt even if youre doing it right

It has nothing to do with pain tolerance... stretching shouldn't injure tissue enough to cause any pain for anyone. If it hurts, you need to wait longer.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

@corazon_de_oro

i still disagree. i dont wait 6 weeks between every stretch , theres minor discomfort and then theres pain, minor discomfort is maybe a slight pinch, pain is throbbing . so lets get this straight.

We get it. You're cool because you're at such a large gauge.
Just wait until you come back in a few months with a thread talking about your ears having problems. Yes everyone does it their own way, but damn it THERE IS ALSO a right way.

The only thing in your house that would be safe would be smaller jewelry wrapped in teflon tape. And that still means you need to change out the tape every few days at the longest. Teflon tape is cheap, but it's not convenient. If you can't spend about $5 on cheap steel tunnels, better to leave off stretching until you can afford it, as permanent body mods aren't something you want to do as cheaply as possible.
