hmm I don't have an industrial piercing, but I do have a double helix piercing in my right ear.
Honestly, getting the actual piercing didn't hurt much more than a regular piercing, the only part that hurts is sleeping on it. Takes a really long time to heal. I've had one for about 5 months now, the other 4, and they're still a little tender to sleep on some nights.
I'll upload some pics, once the camera batteries charge >.>

lol i had mine but i was forced to take it out when i went in. So basically, it only hurts for a few seconds, its the next day that sucks, cuz its really sensitive! anyone brushes against it, it will hurt. Use lots of H2ocean! Pain is not a biggie as long as u dont bump it around. It takes a while to heal. good luck =D

My brother has two industrials in the same ear :L He's never once said that they hurt (and he's not one for pain xD), they bleed occasionally if you sleep on them but that's about it =] Just tender and take a while to fully heal.

Megan: He probably had a bar that was too short for his ear in :L

I am thinking of putting in vertical one in threw the rook so it will go threw three cartilages.

There is pic of this at http://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com/img/bo ... images/i...

Let me know what you think.

Also going to do conch and a spiral weave.
