I've never been a fan of the spirals or "Pincers". I don't know why, but I just never had a feel for them, but I guess if you dig those go for it my friend! :)

I am seriously digging the black ebony plugs with pink cubic zirconia inlay in them you can find them on omericaorganics.com but they're soooooo expensive =[

I think spiral are cute but this is for baby gauges... But anyway I prefer plugs or tunnels.:)

I'm an organic fan, myself. Not so much on spirals + organic.
But don't let anyone discourage you, everyone has their own unique style. So go for it!

SPIRALS! Gotta love 'em. I think they're perfect for smaller sizes.

i love spirals in tiny sizes :) im waitin to finish stretching and then im going to get my second lobe piercings. i wanna get em done at like a 14 or 12g and just wear spirals in them all the time :D but i agree about the larger sizes lookin better with plugs. i dunno the top of the spiral just seems too thick to me in big sizes but thats just me lol

I loved spirals in smaller sizes, but as my ears got larger, so did the spirals. Too big, bulky and huge. I had some cheap acrylic 5/8" spirals, they were huge, uncomfy and ugly.
I like other hangies, but most only go up to 1/2". If I found 1" hangies, they'd likely be far too heavy.

I still find ways to wear some of my 1/2" hangies in eyelets. They're too pretty to give up on :)
