when I first started stretching my ears, I was fourteen :) now I'm 15 and I have a 0g on the lobe and a 2g on the cartilage (that one hurts, it looks cool but I don't really recommend it because I shattered part of my cartilage in the process)
Right ear: 0g, two 6gs on lobe; 2g on cartilage....
goal: 00 on lobe! perhaps a 0g on cartilage?

Left ear: 8g, two 14gs on lobe; 14g on cartilage
goal: 00 on lobe!

i agree with under 13 under 8g completely. Im 17, i didnt start stretching until i was 16, i say 15 can go up to a 00g, and once 17 can do however big they want.

BUT thats just me. I dont even like 13 year olds getting anything but ear piercings. i was 13 when i got my ears gunned at walmart( yes i know, it makes me sick now but i didnt know any better) and my first non ear piercing was for my 17th birthday.

16 i think is the youngest for anything but ears to be done and i think start with a nostril, navel or single lip. not like a septum, because i consider it a more controversial piece.
I'm 17 i live in maine
Double Right Eyebrow
Tongue
tattoos
Have:
16mm lobes
right nostril piercing 20g
2nd holes 20g
navel 14g

I believe eighteen and older because most younger teens probably just think its "cool" or trendy. When in all actuality it's permanent and should be treated so.

Personall I waited until I was 21, I discussed it alot with my parents when I was younger, I decided that maybe I should think about it bit longer bc it is a life long commitment and I didn't want to make a commitment if I wasn't ready. I think 13 is entirely too young, I could maybe see starting out at 16 just bc some kids mature faster than others. If your mature enough to think out, talk about with your parents and put into effect that this a lifetime commitment then it might be ok. This a mod that may stick with you forever even if you never wear a plug again and that's ssomethingthat should be thought about. When I look in the mirror everyday when I sss and clean my ears, I think to myself I love them now and I will still love them when I am 90......
