Today I woke up and my ear was bleeding I took my plug out and realized I had a tear about a centimeter. I've since downsized from a 2g to a 8g is what should i do to help the tear heal fastest and heal properly how severe is this tear?

It is really good that you downsized. Just keep up with keeping it clean and do sea salt soaks to let heal nice.

yep just baby your ear for a while. use sea salt soaks once a day or so and then when the cut heals massage with oil to help strengthen your lobe back up.

my question is, what did you wear to actually get your ear teared by sleeping.
i doubt it was a tunnel / plug

You may doubt it, but it can still happen. It happened to me a few nights ago and I was wearing tunnels.
I'm assuming it got accidentally pulled during the night.
