numb earlobe...

hi there...

my earlobes are 1/2 (12mm), and have been for a couple months or so now. The stretch up was pretty much smooth and problem free. Everything been fine so far, until today when I noticed my right lobe was slightly swollen (not at all painful) and numb. I can feel it if I pinch with my nails, but otherwise is numb and a bit cold to the touch.

I was wearing plastic tunnels, but I've downsized it back to a 10mm plug for now, and taken ibuprofen to reduce the swelling. Going to have really hot shower to see if that will help with the circulation...

Anybody else had this kind of issue, or have more ideas what to do?

Ta!

It sounds to me like you need to be taking your jewellery out for a few hours a day, or even while you sleep.
You probably have restricted bloodflow to your lobe from the pressure of the jewellery.

Just go naked for a few hours a day and let the blood flow back into your lobe, do some jojoba or vit-e massages and your ear should start feeling better and healthier soon. I don't necessarily think it requires downsizing, just letting your ear breathe.
