Sleeping with freshly stretched ears

So now, I have conflicting sources of information.

I started stretching for the first time last week, every night I've removed my plugs to sleep and from there I've used my taper to refit them in in the morning after cleaning the hole with Spectro gel.

Now I've read somewhere that I shouldn't even be removing them and leave them in for a month. I sleep on my right side, my plugs are made of steel, I'm afraid to hurt myself.

Is what I have been doing okay?

Yeah you shoulnt take them out! If they tighten during the night and you have to put the taper in next day, they will never heal... Of course you have to sleep with them. At larger size, if they are healed since a couple of months, then you can take them out the night.

You won't hurt yourself with the plug haha...

Yeah, don't sleep without plugs until they're large enough to not shrink. You'll probably do some damage re-stretching them every morning.
I find that silicone earskins are really comfortable to sleep in, or really anything without a super-long wearable area. I have one pair of plugs that are the longest I've ever seen and sleeping in them is annoying!
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

Yeah freshly stretched ears need something to heal on. I was mowing the lawn and had a 10g plug fall out and didn't notice until an hour later and had found my lobe closed up to 14. The stretching was a week old.

I stretch in the bath before i go to bed, and then it heals overnight. Which works well i think.

Hum and don't use Spectro Jel... this product is so strong, just smell it you'll see ! That's definitly now a good idea on a fresh wound. And I think it's written on the bottle.
