Kinda worried...

So, I decided to stretch my ears and my friend who has her ear stretched said I should probably start with a 2mm/12g taper and to do it in the shower because the heat helps the stretch.

Now I have a 2mm taper in each ear but they are really tight. After reading some posts on the forum I'm kinda worried that I've skipped some sizes :/
There was no tearing that I could feel or bleeding and my ears aren't sore any more (I put the taper in yesterday eve.)

Should I downsize or stick with the 2mm?
Thanks in advance :)

Downsizing would be the best thing for you to do. If you're starting from a regular earring size your first stretch should be 18G or 16G. Also, avoid wearing tapers as jewelry. Especially if they're acrylic.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!
