12g plugs won't fit...

I just started stretching about 6 weeks ago (my ears were already about a 16g, 14's went in with no problem). Today I put in a 12g taper and it slipped right on through, no resistance at all, but none of my 12g plugs will fit. The taper came with no flare plugs and o rings and I also tried steel single flares and a pair of acrylic ones just to see if they would fit. I used the plugs to push the taper through like you're supposed to, but none of them fit in the hole. Should I buy another 12g taper and try that?

the taper may be a different size, alot of jewelry floating around now adays is sized wrong an this may be the case. If so just add a wrap of tape to the taper, retaper ur ear an then try. Use lube if u arent already (veggie oil, canola oil, olive oil, even anti microbial soap without a scent will do) hope this helped, an gratz on ur 12g =D keep stretchin
