There's a lump on my lobe, and I don't know what has caused it. I'm only at 2.1mm. Should I stop stretching? Also, my ear bleeds slightly when I take the taper out, I don't think this has anything to do with stretching, as my ear was pierced at 1.6mm, and it was bleeding even when I took the 1.6mm taper out.

not an expert but maybe you tore some tissue. looks like you should take it out and let it heal and start over.

Looks like it could be a blowout. How long ago were you pierced? You need to wait more than just the initial time for the piercing to heal i wouldn't even dare try to stretch it until 6-8 months after it was pierced. Your ears should never bleed when you stretch. I would say take that taper out and downsize to your previous size for at least a few weeks. Also try to do some oil massages in the mean time to get rid of that blowout. (if it is one)
