Yep. The other day i finally got around to going out and buying a pair of internally-threaded 2g plugs (the ones that came with the tapers my friend let me borrow were double flares :? ). Didn't want to risk fucking up my ears so decided to go the safer route. They're acrylic, which isn't as good as glass or metal, but the one time i used metal my ears stank so bad I had to clean them multiple times a day and oh god it was awful. And I've never had a problem with acrylic.

My right and left ear. Also this was my first time using a circular barbell (in my cartilage). The little balls are a bitch to screw on.
