What kind of oil do you use on your ears and why did you decide on that type? (:

I use Vitamin E, because I found it was generally the most recommened.

I also use Holey Butt'r, although that's not an oil, as it's specifically for use on stretched lobes. And the little tin is cute :)

Does the Holy Butt'r work well? I've heard really good things about it. I started using jojoba oil before i even started stretching. My ears were gunned back when I was a little thing and have always had a sort of hard ball around them. So I started doing massages about a month before i started stretching and it did wonders breaking up the scar tissue from that evil gun, ha. Plus I love how soft my lobes are afterwords. (:

Yeah, unfortunately my ears were pierced by gun when I was 18 months old, and obviously too young to know better.

I love Holey Butt'r. I've nearly run out, but even though the tin is small, it's lasted me ages. I plan on ordering some more as soon as I've used it all :)

I go back and forth between emu oil, vitamin E, and naked oil (they sell it on BAF and at the piercing/tattoo studio I go to). I like emu oil because it's not so thick and it's really smooth, I like vitamin E oil because it helps break down scar tissue, and I like naked oil because it smells amazing. But really, the actual massaging is more important than the type of oil you're using, so just use whatever you want!
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

I switch between jojoba and emu oil.
I only use joboba for taping.

Does anyone know about the suitability of safflower oil for ear?
I've got some nice bone jewellery I'd rather not slowly discolour. I have lots of safflower oil, and its clear.

Personally I use a vitamin E oil moisturizer that is meant for external use only. I am done stretching, it just keeps my ear happy. I have a lot going on with my ears as far as piercings.
It's not a revolution, it's a lifestyle.

Jojoba oil, since I can buy a big bottle of it and use it on my skin and hair too.
